March 31, 2025, Dr. Shu-Ching Chen was inducted into the American institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows. Chen was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows “for outstanding contributions to the development of AI and machine learning with applications and tools in biomedical engineering.”

Won Phase 1 of the DataWorks! Prize Challenge

AiScan: Interdisciplinary Innovation & Ethical Use. Our team was selected by the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy (ODSS) to move on to Phase 2 of the DataWorks! Prize Challenge. As a Phase 1 winner, our UMKC team will receive a $25,000 cash prize and will advance to Phase 2 of the Challenge.
