Awarded by the US Department of Education, the Center of Excellence in Spatial Computing Grant Program provides funding to eligible institutions of higher education (IHEs) to increase the number of highly qualified Americans available for hire within the high-tech labor pool.
The Center of Excellence will address five key objectives:
(1) Form and grow a consortium of postsecondary and industry leaders focused on spatial computing.
(2) Building AI-empowered learning environments.
(3) Collaborating with industry partners to provide paid internships for students in spatial computing technologies.
(4) Contribute to research and theories of learning.
(5) Add midwestern geographies to the spatial computing landscape.
